INNOVADE in collaboration with CARDET have organised the Multiplier Event for the eMysteries project in order to inform project’s stakeholders and specifically teachers of the secondary education on the innovative methodologies, tools and resources that were produced during the project for addressing the reading and writing needs of under-skilled upper secondary school students. The event took place on the 4th of August 2021 online, due to COVID-19. During the event 65 participants were involved who had the opportunity to learn about the key aims, objectives and rationale of the project. During the event, participants were informed about the resources developed, and through a series of demonstrations were presented in detail the basic deliverables of the project. Specifically, the e-Reading Mysteries Toolbox for teaching and writing, detective stories and the e-Reading Mysteries mobile-device-supported interactive environment were demonstrated. In addition, information about the MOOC was presented and teachers were encouraged to register to the online platform and use the materials provided with their students. After that, a presentation by Dr. Elizabeth Kiourti from the University of Nicosia was given, leading the discussion about the value of the mysteries video games for developing digital literacy skills to the students, with multiple stakeholders and policy makers acknowledging the potential of the eMysteries project. Overall, we have received very positive feedback about the overall work and participants have also expressed interest in using the resources developed.
INNOVADE and CARDET are very proud about the interaction and interest about the event.
